Print documents with mixed page sizes

Last updated on Jun 2, 2026

Learn how to use page size controls to print Adobe InDesign documents containing multiple page dimensions.

InDesign supports documents with pages of different sizes in a single file. When printing, pages or spreads must share the same dimensions because the printer paper size applies to the entire print job. Use the print controls to isolate and print only the pages that match a specific size.

Select File > Print.

Select or deselect Spreads in the General panel to determine whether pages or spreads are printed.

Note

If a spread includes pages of different sizes, the largest width and height on the spread determine its size.

To print only pages of the same size, use the controls to select the required range in the Pages section and then select the pages icon. The Range field displays all the pages or spreads of that size.

Select Print.
