Learn how to place and manage shared graphics from Creative Cloud Libraries in Adobe InDesign layouts.

Add and manage graphics from Creative Cloud (CC) Libraries in InDesign to reuse shared assets directly in layouts. Graphics can be placed as linked or embedded assets depending on the workflow. Linked assets reflect library updates, while embedded assets remain independent of the source.

Place a graphic from CC Libraries

Select Window > CC Libraries.

Select Your Library.

Locate the graphic you want to place in the Graphics category.

Drag the graphic from the CC Libraries panel to the document page.

Place graphics using the menu command

Select File > Place from CC Libraries. The panel filters to show only graphics.

Choose a graphic, then select Place. The graphic loads into the cursor.

Select to place it at actual size or drag to create a frame.

Manage library-linked graphics

Select Window > Links.

Select the placed graphic.

To update the graphic, select the Update Link icon.

To locate the source graphic, right-click the link and select Reveal in CC Libraries.

Edit library graphics

Select Window > CC Libraries.

Right-click the graphic you want to modify, then choose Edit.

Modify the graphic in the document window.

Select File > Save. The asset updates in the CC Library and linked instances show an update notification in the Links panel.
