Last updated on Jun 2, 2026

Learn how to import Adobe Swatch Exchange (ASE) files to transfer color swatches between Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

Import colors and gradients from other documents to add selected or all swatches to the Swatches panel. Supported sources include InDesign (INDD, INDT), Illustrator (AI, EPS), and ASE files from InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
