Delete a page or spread

Last updated on Jun 2, 2026

Learn how to use the Pages panel in Adobe InDesign to remove unwanted pages and spreads from your document.

Deleting pages or spreads permanently removes them and can’t be undone after saving, so confirm that text threads and layouts won’t be affected. In documents with facing pages, the remaining pages are rearranged according to the Allow Document Pages to Shuffle setting.

Select Window > Pages

In the Pages panel, select the thumbnail of the page or spread you want to delete.

Select Delete selected pages icon in the Pages panel.
