Line stroke options and settings

Access stroke options from Window > Stroke.

Stroke option	Description
Weight	Sets the thickness of the stroke.
Cap	Defines the ends of an open path: Butt Cap icon: Squared ends at endpoints Round Cap icon: Rounded ends extending beyond endpoints Projecting Cap icon: Squared ends extending beyond endpoints
Join	Defines the appearance of corners: Miter Join icon: Sharp corners Round Join icon: Rounded corners Bevel Join icon: Flattened corners
Miter Limit	Controls when a miter join becomes a bevel join based on stroke width.
Align Stroke	Sets stroke position relative to the path Align Stroke to Center icon Align Stroke to Inside icon Align Stroke to Outside icon
Type	Defines the stroke style (solid, dashed, and other patterns).
Start/End	Adds arrowheads to the beginning or end of a path.
Swap start and end arrowheads icon	Switches the start and end arrowheads.
Scale	Adjusts the size of arrowheads.
Link start and end arrowhead scales icon	Links the scaling of start and end arrowheads to adjust them together.
Align (Arrowheads)	Aligns arrowheads to the path or extends beyond it. Extend arrow tip beyond end of path icon Place arrow tip at end of path icon
Gap Color	Sets the color between dashes or patterns.
Gap Tint	Adjusts the tint of the gap color.
