Learn how to animate objects with motion presets in Adobe InDesign for interactive PDFs and digital documents.
Animate objects in InDesign using motion presets to add effects such as fades, fly-ins, and spins in interactive documents. These presets provide ready-to-use animations for text, images, and shapes. Animations are supported in interactive outputs such as Interactive PDFs and can be previewed before export to ensure expected behavior.
Select Window > Interactive > Animation.
Select a motion preset from the Preset drop-down menu.
To edit the motion path, use the Pen tool and the Direct Selection tool.
Observe the motion path next to the object.
Select the Preview Spread: EPUB icon to preview the animation effect before export.
To remove animation from an object, select the object and select the Remove animation icon.
