Last updated on Jun 2, 2026

Learn how to view, reply to, and resolve stakeholder comments using the Review panel in Adobe InDesign.

When you share an InDesign document for review, stakeholders can add comments through the review link. These comments appear in the Review panel, where you can view, reply to, and manage feedback linked to specific pages.

View and respond to comments

Open the Review panel using Window > Comments > Review.

The Share for Review dialog remains open when the Review panel launches automatically.

Select any comment in the list to navigate directly to the associated object or page in your document.

Select Reply and type your response in the field, then select Submit to continue the conversation.

Manage individual comments

Select the comment you want to manage in the Review panel.

Select from the available actions:

  • Reply: Add your response.
  • Resolve : Mark the feedback as addressed.

Select the ellipsis icon on the stakeholder comments or your replies, and select any of the following:

  • Edit: Modify your own comments.
  • Delete: Permanently remove a comment along with all associated replies.
  • Mark as read/Mark as unread: Denote a comment as read or unread.

Update your shared document

After making edits based on stakeholder feedback, push your changes to the review link so collaborators can see the updated design.

Make your edits in the InDesign document.

Select Share , then select Update content in the Share for review dialog box.

You can save your document normally using File > Save to preserve all review comments and feedback. Using File > Save As clears all review comments from the document.
