Relink legacy media files to replace older formats with MP4 (video) and MP3 (audio) for better compatibility in interactive exports.

Convert legacy media files

Open Adobe Media Encoder and add the video files you want to convert.

Select an H.264 preset from the Format drop-down menu.

Select the play icon to begin encoding, then wait for the conversion to complete.

For audio files in non-MP3 formats, use a third-party application such as Apple iTunes or Audacity to convert files to MP3 format.

Relink media files in your document

Select Window > Links.

Locate and select the legacy media file.

Select the panel menu icon, then select Relink.

Navigate to the location where you saved the converted MP4 or MP3 file.

Select the converted media file, then select Open.
