Save projects as templates so you can get started with bins, sequences, or assets already organized.

Project templates are especially useful when you are creating video collateral for different social media destinations. This feature helps you retain branding, colors, and assets across multiple projects. Learn more about YouTube’s best practices for creating effective advertisement videos.

Before you begin

Gather your assets and keep them ready for import.

Use project templates

  1. Start a new project from the Home screen.
  2. In Project template, select one of the template options available, or upload a saved template.
  3. To create videos for social media, use Social Media Template Project.prproj to open template sizes of various social media apps like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and so on.

You can choose a template according to your requirements. You can also upload a template you have saved.

  1. Select the media from the Home screen (optional), and select Create.
  2. Select a social media template sequence in the Project panel and double-click to open it.

  1. Place your media under the Overlay layer (template) on the sequence. Then mute, or delete the Overlay layer (template) before exporting.

Result

The video is optimized for the specified social media destination.
