Detect and delete pauses in transcripts

Text-Based Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro lets you detect pauses in speech and bulk delete fillers, text, or pauses in transcripts.

Before you begin

Launch Premiere Pro and create a new project. Select the media you'd like to import and open the Text-Based Editing workspace.

  1. Select the   icon in the Transcript panel.
  2. Choose the Text, Filler words, or Pauses you would like to delete.
  3. Select Delete to delete a single instance or Delete all to activate bulk delete action.

Result

You’ll be able to detect pauses in speech and bulk delete them as per your requirements.
