Create a clip layer

Learn how to add an image or a video as a layer and create a clip layer.
You can add still images and video clips as layers within your graphic in the Essential Graphics panel and create clip layers.
Before you begin
Enable the Essential Graphics panel if you do not see it in your workspace by selecting Window > Essential Graphics.
- Go to the Edit tab of the Essential Graphics panel.
- Select the New Layer icon and choose From File.
- Browse and add a still image or video clip.
Result
The added still image or video clip gets added, a new Graphic layer is created in the Essential Graphics panel as well as the Timeline panel. When you select the layer, you will get the edit options such as alignment, opacity, position, and scale.
Note:
Make sure that the graphic is selected in the Program Monitor. If the graphic is not selected, the options are not available.Also note that there are various editable properties for each type of selected layer, multiple selected layers, and for whole Graphics (Graphic is selected but no layers are).
