Learn how to use the Share for review option in Premiere Pro to quickly share your video editing work via Frame.io for reviews and approvals.

While working on a Premiere Pro project, sending sequences for review with the Share for review option is seamless, efficient, and easy. The reviewers can use the shared links to get instant access to the latest edited clips and use the Frame.io review functionalities to add comments or annotations directly on specific video frames in the timeline.

Frame.io is included in all Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud subscriptions and offers two Frame.io users, five concurrent projects, 100GB Frame.io storage, and Camera to Cloud functionality.

Before you begin

Create a sequence in your project and make the necessary edits.

  1. Select the Share button in the Premiere Pro header bar.
  2. Under the Share for review section, use the Select Frame.io Location option to specify the location in your Frame.io folder structure where the selected active sequence will be exported, uploaded, and stored. You must be signed in to your Frame.io account to select the location.
Under the Share for review section the Select Frame.io Location link is highlighted. You can use this link to choose a destination in Frame.io for your active sequence to live.

    • ProRes 4444: Video codec that can encode videos of any resolution to ultra-high definition (UHD) and beyond.
  3. Select Share to launch Adobe Media Encoder to export and upload the sequence to Frame.io. This happens in the background so that you can continue working on your video edits.
  4. Copy the sharable link and send it to the reviewer.
Under the Share for review section, a review link is created. There are options to select the link or copy the link for sharing.
Copy the review link that is created and share it with the reviewers.

When you make additional edits to the shared sequence, Premiere Pro tracks those changes made to the active sequence and allows you to push those changes to share the updated sequence for review. Select Share > Update shared content to push them to a new version on Frame.io using the same review link.

Under the Share for review section, the Update shared content to push the changes made to the active sequence.
All changes in the active sequence are tracked, and you can use the Update shared content option to push those changes for review on Frame.io.

Tip:

Apart from pushing the updated changes in the active sequence, you can also share it as a new version with a new review link. Select the   icon next to the active sequence name and then select Create new link.

Result

You have successfully shared the project or sequence with reviewers for them to review and add their comments.
