Learn how to install a Motion Graphics template file (.mogrt) in Premiere Pro.

When you install a Motion Graphics template file (.mogrt) in Adobe Premiere Pro, the imported Motion Graphics template will be installed under the Browse tab in the Essential Graphics panel. You can simply drag and drop it to your timeline and start customizing it.

Before you begin

Select Windows > Essential Graphics to enable the Essential Graphics panel.

  1. Select the Install Motion Graphics template icon at the bottom of the Essential Graphics panel to navigate to a Motion Graphics template.
The Essential Graphics panel with the Browse tab is open. The tab has installed Motion Graphics templates listed.
Select the Install Motion Graphics template icon in the Essential Graphics panel.

  1. Navigate to a folder where the Motion Graphics template is saved and select Open.
Note:

If you try to install a Motion Graphics template incompatible with your project’s version, you are notified about the incompatibility. A Motion Graphics template is incompatible if created with a later version of After Effects. If a Motion Graphics template with the same name already exists, a dialog box appears, prompting to overwrite or cancel the template installation.

  1. You can also install multiple Motion Graphics templates at once by dragging them from the Finder or the Explorer Window into the Browse tab of the Essential Graphics panel.

  • macOS: username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Motion Graphics Templates/
  • Windows: root://Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Common/Motion Graphics Templates/
Note:

Any motion Graphics template stored in your Creative Cloud Libraries is automatically available for use in Premiere Pro. It doesn't need to be installed.
