Save time and maintain consistency across your video project by copying and pasting masks and effects from one clip to another.

Before you begin

Create a mask and apply an effect to it.

An example of copying and pasting masks and effects from one clip to another.

  1. Select the mask, and then select Window > Effect Controls.
  2. To copy just the mask, right-click the mask in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Copy.
  3. To copy an effect with the mask, right-click the effect in the Effect Controls panel and select Copy.
Note:

You can copy and paste only one mask at a time.

  1. To paste the mask, select the effect you want to paste the mask to in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Edit > Paste.
  2. To paste an effect, select another clip on the timeline, and then select Edit > Paste.

Result

The mask or effect is copied to the selected clip.
