Change, create, and reset workspaces

Learn how to change from one Workspace to another, create a custom Workspace, and reset a Workspace in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Change from one Workspace to another

  1. Open a project in Premiere Pro.
  2. Select Window > Workspaces, and select a workspace.
Tip:
  • You can also use the Workspaces   icon at the upper-left corner to change workspaces.
  • You can customize your keyboard shortcuts to open your preferred workspaces, including custom workspaces.

Create a custom Workspace

  1. Open a project in Premiere Pro.
  2. Drag the groups and panels to arrange them as desired.
  3. Select Window > Workspaces > Save as New Workspace.
  4. Type a name and then select OK.
Tip:
  • Saved custom workspaces appear in the Workspace menu for future access.
  • If you changed and saved the original default workspace, delete the Workspace config file from the Layouts folder to recover it.

Save a custom Workspace

Premiere Pro can be rearranged to your liking. Use these steps to save custom layouts and edit the order they appear in the workspace menu.

Reset a Workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved panel layout.

  1. Open a project in Premiere Pro.
  2. Select Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout.

Result

You can change from one workspace to another, create a custom workspace, or reset any workspace.
