Student Spaces is an AI-powered workspace in Acrobat on the web where students can organize their materials, learn across different formats, and collaborate with classmates, all in one place. Each Student Space acts as a hub for a topic or task, letting you work across multiple files, generate study tools like flashcards and quizzes, validate answers with citations, and share with others. 

Student Spaces enable students to study efficiently, prepare for exams, and create professional-grade presentations with ease. It also supports collaboration, allowing students to share notes, brainstorm ideas, and work on group projects. 

Use Student Spaces to:  

  • View and organize up to 100 files in one place.  
  • Get guided support from a prebuilt AI Assistant that acts as a personal tutor and helps you work towards your goals.  
  • Learn across formats and create study tools—such as flashcards, quizzes, study guides, and video summaries—to review and retain material faster. 
  • Validate AI-generated responses with clear, easy-to-view citations.  
  • Add notes to capture your thoughts or save useful AI responses.  
  • Collaborate with friends by sharing your entire Student Space, along with your notes and AI Assistant.  

Student Spaces is designed for higher education students and early career learners who are 18 years of age or older. 

Student Spaces is free to use. To access premium features like Podcast, Presentation, and Video summary, create a free Adobe account.

You can access Student Spaces in Acrobat on the web using any web or mobile browser.   

You can try out basic features without signing in. When you create a personal Adobe account, you get access to standard and premium study tools and can share your Student Spaces with others.

Note

Student Spaces is not currently available with institution-purchased Adobe accounts. If you’re using an institutional account, you’ll need to create a free personal Adobe account to use Student Spaces. 
If you’re a current user with AIA for EDU, Creative Cloud Student & Teacher Edition (STE), or Acrobat Pro for Student & Teacher Edition, Project Study Space will appear in your account. 
Support for institution-wide accounts is coming; check back soon for updates. 

Student Spaces is currently available worldwide in English, in countries where Adobe products and services are offered. More languages and regional availability will be available soon.  

Check back for updates in your area. Adobe products and services, including AI Assistant for Acrobat, are not available in the following regions: Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, the Crimean Peninsula, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) regions of Ukraine.

Student Spaces offers a range of study tools designed for different learning styles. You can use one tool at a time or combine multiple tools based on what you want to learn.

Use text‑based study tools like flashcards, quizzes, and mind maps to review concepts and test your understanding. Try multimedia study tools like presentations, video summaries, and podcasts to learn through audio, visuals, and interactive formats.

When you upload a source, such as a document, web link, or copied text, to Student Spaces, AI Assistant responses and the text in generated study tools include citations. 
You can select a citation to see exactly where the information comes from in the source documents, making it easy to verify details or explore the topic further.

Note

If no source is uploaded, citations won’t be available. 

Curated Student Spaces are designed to help you explore how Student Spaces works while engaging with relevant, handpicked content based on hot topics for students in and outside of the classroom.   

Created by the Adobe Education team, these ready-to-use Student Spaces are a great way to discover new ideas and insights.   

Use Curated Student Spaces to:  

  • Browse and read expertly crafted content.  
  • Get inspiration on how to use Student Spaces in different settings, from studying to landing your next internship.   
  • Download documents for easy reference.  
  • Gain valuable insights, spark creativity, and enhance learning  

Student Spaces allow you to share your study materials and collaborate smoothly by setting specific access levels and permissions. When sharing a Student Space, you can choose from three preset access levels for recipients: 

  • Contributor: Recipients can add comments, upload artifacts, and manage files and notes by adding or removing them. 
  • Reviewer: Recipients can view the content and add comments, but cannot make changes to files or notes. 
  • View Only: Recipients can only view the files and notes without making any edits or comments. 

You can customize the default share settings to make the Student Space accessible organization-wide or keep it private. Additionally, signed-in users can re-share a Student Space with others, ensuring smooth collaboration and controlled access. Adobe does not use customer content to train the generative AI models that deliver Acrobat features. Learn how Adobe protects your documents and content through responsible content usage and handling practices.  

Creating, uploading, or sharing content that violates a third-party copyright is prohibited. You should seek legal advice if you suspect that your content may violate any third-party copyrights.  

You can share feedback on AI‑generated responses by selecting Dislike at the bottom of the response. Choose one or more reasons and add additional comments if needed.
