Learn how to access your Box storage files using Acrobat on web.

Accessing Box files from Acrobat on the web application allows you to open, edit, and save PDFs stored in Box without downloading and re-uploading files. This integration ensures real-time updates and improved efficiency.

Note:

Adobe Acrobat for Box is supported by all modern browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

  1. Go to your Box storage files and right-click on the file you want to open in Acrobat on the web.

  2. Select Open with > Adobe Acrobat (web).

    A list of files on your Box account is shown. The context menu of a file is displayed with the Open with Adobe Acrobat (web) option highlighted.
    To open a Box file in the Acrobat Desktop app, you can right-click on it and then select Open with > Open on Desktop App.

  3. In the Adobe Acrobat for Box dialog box that opens, select Okay.

  4. On the permissions page, select Grant access to Box.

    The page displays a message requesting permission for Adobe Acrobat to access to Box files.
    To open a Box file in Adobe Acrobat, you must grant access permissions to Adobe Acrobat.

Your Box file opens in the preview pane of Acrobat on the web. You can now edit, share, or request signatures on the file.
