Learn how to add page numbers to your PDFs using various font styles, sizes, and more.

  1. On the Acrobat on the web homepage, select Edit > Number pages.

  2. Choose Select a file and browse on your device to upload the file you’d like to add the page numbers to.

  3. In the Number pages section, specify the Position on page and Page range.

  4. To customize the format and font of the page numbers, select More.

    The document opens with numbering and number formatting tools. The 'Position on Page' grid shows the selected position.
    In the Format Number section, adjust the font style, size, and formatting of the page number.

  5. Select Save.

    Tip:

    To undo any changes, select from the top bar.

Page numbers are added to the PDF and it's automatically saved to Adobe cloud storage.
