Disrupted transaction between payment and signature

Learn how to finish signing your agreement if the process is disrupted after payment collection.

The payment-enabled e-signature process involves two main steps:

  • Collecting the payment
  • Completing the signature process

This workflow ensures that an agreement can only be finalized after the payment is captured. If there’s an issue during this step, it can disrupt the process.

Signature workflow is disrupted

  1. Re-open the agreement using the original link provided.

    Note:

    If reminders are set, you can also use a reminder link.

  2. Resume the signature process.

  3. Check the payment status.

    • If you see a message confirming the payment was successfully captured before the disruption, select OK and continue signing.
    • If you don’t see the payment confirmation message, verify the payment information and attempt to make the payment again.
