Learn how to add or replace text, correct typos, change fonts and typeface, adjust alignment, and resize text.

  1. On the Acrobat on the web homepage, select Edit > Edit text & images.

  2. Choose Select a file and browse on your device to upload the file you want to edit.

  3. To view the Edit menu in the left panel, select the text you want to edit.

  4. Use the Format Text and Add Content tools to edit the text as per your requirements, including:

    • Formatting the text as bold.
    • Italicizing the text.
    • Deleting the text.
    • Inserting new text.
    • Changing the font style, size, color, and alignment of the text.
    • Structuring the text as a bulleted or numbered list.
    • Changing line spacing, paragraph spacing, character spacing, and horizontal scaling of the text.

    The PDF text is edited, and all changes are automatically saved to Adobe cloud storage.

    Tip:

    To undo a change, select the icon from the top bar.

    Selected text on the PDF file displays a pop-up menu with quick Edit tools. The Edit pane on the left is highlighted.
    Select the text you want to edit and use the Context menu tools to quickly modify it as needed.
