Create PDF Spaces in Acrobat web

Learn how to create PDF Spaces in Acrobat on the web for easy content organization, AI-powered analysis, and AI-generated content creation.

You can add multiple files and links, get AI-powered insights, and organize your research in one conversational knowledge hub. It uses the added files and links to generate summaries, answer questions, surface key insights, and create podcasts and presentations.

Create a PDF Space

On the Acrobat on the web homepage, select PDF Spaces.

Select Create a PDF Space.

In the dialog box, add files using the following options:

  • Choose files stored on Adobe cloud storage.
  • Upload supported file types.
  • Import from third-party storage. Select Add cloud files to connect to the third-party storage accounts.
  • Add text using the Pasted text option.
  • Add webpage URLs using the Web link option.

Add a variety of sources to your PDF Space to centralize all relevant content for better insights and faster output.

Select Add to PDF Space.

Your PDF Space loads with the following elements:

  • An Overview with a few default items
  • Auto-generated files and audio summary
  • Files in the left panel
  • Auto-generated podcasts in the Creations tab
  • AI Assistant chat panel

Optionally, use the dropdown menu next to the PDF Space name to create or switch PDF Spaces, rename file, save a copy, delete it, or open it in desktop app.

Explore the PDF Space interface

You can open up to three panels at once.

  • Left panel: Displays the selected item: Files, Creations, or the Customize panel. AI-generated outputs for podcasts and presentations are playable from this tab. You can expand to focus or close any panel.
  • Center panel: Displays the Overview with auto-generated title, audio summary, and files summary. Expand to focus or close the panel.
  • Right panel: The AI Assistant panel lets you ask questions, request insights, and generate content from your files.

Create content from your PDF Space

Use the Create tab to generate new AI-powered content directly from the files in your PDF Space. You can create:

  • Podcasts: An AI-generated audio discussion based on your documents. Once generated, podcasts appear in the Creations tab. Play back generated podcasts directly in the interface, with controls for speed, volume, skip, and transcript view.
  • Presentations: An AI-generated slide deck summarizing key content from your files. Presentations are shown as a visual preview and can be saved to the Creations tab.
  • Notes: A written summary or set of notes derived from your documents.

Customize your PDF Space

Select Customize from the bottom of the left navigation bar to personalize your workspace.

  • Theme: Choose a background theme to apply it instantly.
  • Link preview: Control how the PDF Space appears when shared. Shows title and domain. Replace the preview image if needed.
