Create a Production

Learn how to create a Production and start collaborating in Adobe Premiere.

Select File > New > Production.

Type in a name for your production. This will also be the name of the folder on disk.

The New Production dialog box is open with the option to specify the name and location for the new Production project.
Use the New Production dialog box to specify the name and location for the new Production project.

Select the blue path text to select a location to save the production folder. For collaboration, make sure to save the production on your shared storage.

Select Create.

Open a Production 

Unlike stand-alone project files, you can open only one production at a time. To open a Production, do one of the following:

  • From the Premiere welcome screen or with a stand-alone project open, select File > Open Production.
  • Select a recently used production from the dropdown list.
  • Select Open or  Browse and navigate to an existing production folder and choose it.
