Learn to calibrate audio and video in Adobe Premiere for accurate playback and export.

Select Window > Projects and then select the project you want to open.

In the Project panel, select the New Item icon at the lower-right and then select Bars and Tone.

In the New Bars and Tone dialog box, confirm or adjust the values to match your sequence settings and select OK.
The Bars and Tone clip appears in your Project panel.

Some audio workflows require calibration at a specific tone level. The default level for the 1-kHz tone is -12 dB, which is referenced to 0 dBFS. To customize the tone level to match your audio work, select the clip and then select Clip > Audio Options > Audio Gain.

Tip

Select the Bars and Tone clip in the Project panel to set the default gain for new clip instances. Select the clip in the Timeline panel to change the level for that clip instance.
