The order buttons allow you to:
- Move the primitive to the top of the order.
- Move the primitive one level up the order.
- Move the primitive one level down the order.
- Move the primitive to the bottom of the order.
Each primitive can only affect objects higher in the hierarchy, or higher in the order, than itself. You can see the order of primitives in your scene with the Outliner, accessed from the right side of the top bar.
In the video below, Primitive 2 is set to Carve mode. Notice that Primitive 2 only subtracts from Primitive 1 when Primitive 2 is at the bottom of the order. When Primitive 2 is dragged above Primitive 1, it no longer affects Primitive 1.
You can manage order by dragging primitives in the Outliner, but when you have a primitive selected, you can also use the Order controls in the Select tool panel.
