Angle and grid snap
The Angle and grid snap menu is currently unavailable on desktop as it is being reworked. Expect it back in a future version of Modeler. Angle snap is still available through use of a shortcut in VR and on desktop.
Angle and grid snap can be toggled to add constraints to the brush transform.
Grid snap
Grid snap limits the translation of objects to increments along a grid. Additional controls to manage the size of increments and the grid are planned for the future.
You can enable Grid snap at any time from the Snaps panel.
Angle snap
Angle snap limits the rotation of the brush to 90° increments about each axis. We are planning on adding additional snapping options to angle snap in future.
You can enable angle snap at any time from the Snaps panel.
You can also use angle snap while rotating objects with the gizmo. While doing so, keep the cursor inside the angle snap ring to snap to 15-degree increments, or move the cursor outside the angle snap ring to snap to 22.5-degree increments.
- 💻 Hold shift while rotating.
- 🥽 Hold S1 while rotating.
