Learn how to locate, trim, and position objects such as text, elements, and other design assets in a video scene.

Before you begin:

Create a video in Adobe Express and customize the video by adding text, elements, and more.

  1. Open the video in the Adobe Express editor.

  2. Select an object on the video.

  3. Select the Show layer timing button below your timeline to reveal the selected layer.

  4. Hover over the layer track to reveal the trim handles.

  5. Drag the handles to shorten or lengthen the duration of the object.

  6. Select and drag the layer to adjust when it appears in the video.

Result

The duration and timing of the object in the video is adjusted.
