Learn how to add different sounds to your image and video using Adobe Express.

Add different sound effects to a video or image in a few simple steps.

  1. Open a video or image in the editor.

  2. In the left panel, select Media > Audio.

  3. Select any sound under Sound Effects.

  4. Adjust the volume, duration, and timing of the sound in the video.

    • Adjust volume: Adjust the volume of your selected sound effect on the left side of the editor.  
    • Duration: In the timeline at the bottom of the canvas, use the toggles on either side of the sound effect bar to shorten or lengthen the duration.
    • Timing: Drag the sound effect bar to the desired position on the timeline to determine when it appears in your video.
    The video timeline is open with different added sound effects appearing in place of the Add audio section below the video.

  5. Select Download to download the video or select Download > File format > MP4 to download the image with the added sound effects.

    Note:

    The image with the added sound effects will be downloaded as a video.
