File isn't reflecting the updates made in Photoshop or Illustrator

Last updated on Aug 22, 2024

Try these solutions if your Adobe Express file doesn't reflect the updates made in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Ensure your file is saved

Ensure your .psdc or .aic file or Creative Cloud Library asset has been saved completely.

Ensure you are not editing a different version of the linked image

Follow these steps to check if you are editing the linked image that was added to Adobe Express.

  1. Open your Adobe Express file.

  2. Select the linked image, then select Open in Photoshop or Open in Illustrator on the left panel to open the linked file.

Check if you uploaded your file from your local device or non-Adobe cloud storage

If you uploaded your file from your local device or non-Adobe cloud storage, we duplicated it and uploaded it to Adobe cloud storage to add it as a linked image in Adobe Express. Try these steps to locate and open this version.

  1. Select the image in Adobe Express.

  2. Select Open in Photoshop or Open in Illustrator.
