Webpage

Issue

Workaround

Publishing a Webpage

When publishing a Webpage, fonts change to bold and italics post-conversion.

  • Users can choose a similar font (from Adobe Fonts) to replace the fonts appearing bold in the Custom Theme editor.
  • We recommend that if you don't want to lose your custom font, you duplicate any theme that contains an uploaded font and edit the duplicated theme.
  • Custom fonts via upload feature is coming soon.

Custom theme for webpages

Unable to create a custom theme for my webpage.

Users can create and edit themes and customize their colors, fonts, and styles in the Custom Theme editor.

Logo and Header/Footer customization are coming soon.

Adobe Express is slow in the Safari browser

I'm experiencing a lag when using Adobe Express in the Safari browser.

We're aware of the performance issues with Adobe Express in the Safari browser and are working to resolve these issues. Meanwhile, you can try these workarounds:

  1. You can use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or another Chromium-based browser.
  2. You can use Safari Technology Preview on macOS.

Unable to log in to Adobe Express using Google Chrome. Only the Adobe Express   icon is shown on the screen.

Ensure your browser is up to date. Then unsync the Adobe activity in your Google Account Security settings.

Unable to create or open files or save changes to a new file in Adobe Express. Designs are opening blank, and the app is stuck on the loading screen.

Check the firewall and network proxy settings: If your organization has configured firewalls and network proxies that block access to essential Adobe services, it can cause issues with Adobe Express, such as the editor not opening correctly or changes not being saved.

If you encounter this problem, contact your IT administrator to review and modify the proxy settings. Provide them with information on troubleshooting WebSocket issues related to missing upgrade headers and the domains that must be allowed for Adobe apps and services to function correctly.

Video

Issue

Workaround

Download video

Unable to download video created in an older version of Adobe Express.

Videos created in older versions of Adobe Express, especially for Spark, take a longer time to download. To ensure your video downloads completely, refrain from refreshing the page until the download is complete.

If you remove a video background without adding a background color or asset, the video will export with a default white background color.

Updated to the new Adobe Express mobile app, and now my files are missing from Spark Video (iPhone only).

If you use Spark Video on an iPhone and you've recently completed the update to the new Adobe Express mobile app, your Spark Video files were migrated and can be found in Your stuff. If you haven't yet fully updated, please wrap up your Spark Video work. Once your files are migrated, they can be downloaded but will no longer be editable. Learn more.

Edit video in Adobe Express using Chromebooks

While using Adobe Express on low-powered Chromebooks (memory devices <8GB memory) in constrained bandwidth (such as 1.25Mbps), you may encounter issues related to video editing, playback, upload, and download.

Issue

Workaround

My video playback quality is poor.

Try these workarounds to improve video playback quality:

  • Close unwanted applications working in the background or multiple browser tabs that could result in low-speed internet. Slow internet could impact video playback quality.
  • If you're using high-resolution videos (1080p HD or 4K), convert them to a lower resolution (720p or lower) to improve video playback.

Performance is slow.

Try these workarounds to improve performance:

  • Having multiple tabs open will use more memory. Closing unwanted browser tabs will free up memory and improve performance.
  • To save battery power, performance is often throttled automatically by the device.  Plug in the laptop or device to avoid throttling the battery.

I refreshed the page a few times, but the video action is still running slow on Adobe Express.

Refreshing the page or clicking other buttons could slow operations while Adobe Express is working in the background to perform your requested video actions. You should wait for the ongoing action to complete before requesting another.

Video playback is slow.

Each video is uploaded as continuous scenes. Try reducing the number of videos if video playback is slow.

I'm having playback issues.

If you're having playback issues, try Export to preview the video. The playback issues you might see while editing may not be in the exported file.

Video upload is slow.

Use Adobe Express to trim video, export, and then re-upload to reduce the video file size.

Adobe Stock assets

Issue

Workaround

Stock asset unavailable

I'm receiving an error message while downloading a file, stating that it contains paid content.

Occasionally, a few Stock assets transition from free to paid, and unfortunately, we don't receive advance notice about the affected assets. As a workaround, you can substitute Premium Stock assets with Free ones by applying the Free filter during your asset search.
