Learn how to create custom shapes and use expressive borders in Adobe Express

  1. Open a design in the Adobe Express editor.

  2. Select Elements from the left panel and then select Shapes and Draw shape.

    Tip:

    Select a pre-existing shape or choose Draw shape to create a freestyle shape in the focused drawing mode.

  3. Select a Border style and Border Thickness to modify the appearance of your shape.

  4. Select Done to save and return to the Shapes menu or select Cancel to discard changes.

  5. Select the shape you want to edit.

  6. Use the left panel to adjust the shape's Border styleBorder Thickness, FillBorder, and Opacity.  You can also scale and rotate your custom shape, choose a Blend mode, add an Animation.

  7. Select Download.

Note:

When you select Draw shape, you'll enter focused drawing mode. In this mode, layers and page properties are hidden, and most top header actions are disabled.
