Learn how to use the Bulk Create and Generate add-on in Adobe Express to easily create up to 99 design variations by changing the text and images in each variation.

Before you begin:
  • Review the technical requirements for using the Bulk Create and Generate add-on.
  • Create a design in Adobe Express that will serve as the basis of your variations. Open the design in the editor.

Set up the .csv template

  1. Select Add-ons in the left panel.

    • If installing the add-on for the first time, type Bulk Create and Generate in the Search add-ons field. Then, select Bulk Create and GenerateAdd.
    • If already installed, select Your add-ons > Bulk Create and Generate.
  2. In the right panel, select Get Started.

  3. In the Replace images section, place a checkmark next to the images you want to replace in your variations:

    • Check Foreground image to change the topmost image in the layers.
    • Check Background image to change the bottom-most image in the layers.
  4. Select a text object in your design. In the Replace text section, type a Label and select the Link button. Select Add to create more labels.

a design of a vet clinic open in the canvas with the image of a dog. The Bulk, Create, and Generate add-on is open in the right panel with the option to replace Foreground and Background image and Replace text
A - Select "Foreground image" to replace the topmost image in your variations. B - Select "Background image" to replace the bottom-most image in your variations. C - Select a text object in your design, type a label, and select "Link".

  5. Select Download your .csv template.

Tip:
  • The add-on determines the Background and Foreground images depending on the layer order of images in the design. These layers are automatically determined and cannot be specified. Select the Find in page icon to see which image the add-on identifies as the Foreground and Background images.
  • Don't change the {Text string} after selecting Link. If you need to start over, select the   icon to remove your link or close and re-open the add-on.
