The reseller change process allows your organization's system administrator to switch from a direct plan or an existing reseller to a new reseller via the Admin Console.
Prerequisites
Before you start the reseller change process, make sure the following are in place:
- System Admin credentials for the Adobe Admin Console (Contact the contract owner if you aren't the system admin)
- Your new Adobe authorized reseller's contact
- An active Value Incentive Plan (VIP) membership
Key scenarios when an organization needs to change reseller
- You want to purchase Adobe product licenses from a new reseller.
- You currently purchase products directly from Adobe and want to purchase from a reseller.
- Your existing reseller is no longer authorized.
To change your reseller, you must request a reseller change code from your new reseller. You'll receive an email with your reseller change code. Use the code to change the reseller within 72 hours.
Follow the steps below to change to a new reseller:
-
Once you've received the reseller change code, sign in to the Admin Console with System Admin credentials.
You'll receive a success notification once your reseller is changed. Confirmation emails are sent to your old reseller and your new reseller.
For more details, see error scenarios and common questions.
After you've changed the reseller successfully, your old reseller has limited access to your past order information.
The reseller change code is valid only for 72 hours after creation. If your reseller change code expires, or if you don't receive it, contact your reseller for a new one.
If you don't see the option to change your reseller, you are not a System Admin. Contact your organization’s contract owner.
Yes. Follow the same process to change reseller. In this case, Adobe is displayed as your current reseller.
Once you've switched to a new reseller, your old reseller can only access their previous orders' details.
To buy products directly from Adobe, contact your Adobe account manager.
