Learn how System administrators can entitle users to train and generate images with Firefly custom models.

Assign users to train Adobe Firefly with your brand assets, subjects, and other campaign materials to create custom models, empowering anyone in your organization to easily generate on-brand content safe for commercial use.

Before you begin

Firefly custom models are available to organizations that use Adobe storage for business, a feature that's being rolled out globally in a phased manner. It's also only available on the Creative Cloud for enterprise Edition 4 (formerly Pro Firefly) and Edition 4 w/Premium Stock (formerly Pro Plus) plans. To purchase a new plan for your company, contact Adobe Sales.

If you have a Creative Cloud for enterprise plan, contact your Adobe Account Manager to add custom models to your plan. You can find their contact details on the Support tab in the Admin Console by selecting your plan and product under Your Adobe support plans.

Provision users to train and use custom models

Firefly custom models is available as a product in the Adobe Admin Console. This product includes two services — Trainers, who train or fine-tune Firefly models with their brand assets, and Generators, who have permission to generate on-brand content with the trained Firefly custom models on the Firefly web app.

Create product profiles

Adobe recommends creating separate product profiles for trainers and generators and assigning them to users or user groups.

  1. On Products page in the Adobe Admin Console, select Firefly custom models.

  2. Select New profile. Use the following details to create and save two product profiles:

    Name

    Description

    Enable services

    Trainer for Firefly custom models

Assign this product profile to users who will train the Firefly custom models.

    Trainer

    Generator for Firefly custom models

Assign this product profile to users who will generate assets using the trained custom models.

    Generator

Assign product profiles to the users or user groups

To entitle a user as a trainer or generator, a system administrator must assign them the corresponding product profile in Firefly custom models and a product that entitles the user to Adobe Firefly. You can directly assign product profiles to users. However, we recommend assigning product profiles to user groups for ease of maintenance.

  1. In the Admin Console, navigate to Users > User groups.

  2. Create user groups

Select New User Group. Enter a name and description for the trainers' group, and select Save. Repeat this process and enter a name and description for the generators' group.

  3. Add users to the user groups

Select the user group for trainers from the User Groups page and choose Add User. Enter the user details and save them.

Repeat this step to add users to the user group for generators. Learn how to create and manage user groups and add users in bulk.

  4. Assign product profiles to user groups

    1. From the User Groups page, select the user group for trainers.
    2. Navigate to the Assigned product profiles tab and select Assign profile.
    3. Select the Add   icon > Firefly custom models > Trainer for Firefly custom models.
    4. Select the Add   icon again to select  the Creative Cloud for enterprise Edition 4 or Edition 4 w/Premium Stock.
    5. Select Save.
The Assign products and profiles wizard with the Trainer for Firefly Custom Models product profile highlighted.
Assign relevant product profiles to the user groups.

Repeat the steps to assign the Generator for Firefly custom models product profile to the user group for generators.

When you need to add more users as trainers or generators, add them to their respective user groups and they'll automatically be added to both Firefly and Firefly custom models.

  1. In the Admin Console, navigate to Users.

  2. To entitle new users, select Add users. Enter a username or email address.

To entitle existing users, select the user's name. Select the More Options   icon in the Products section and choose Edit products.

The Edit products dialog box with the Tainer for Firefly Custom Models product profile highlighted.
Assign the trainer or generator role to users.

  3. Select the Add   icon > Firefly custom models, choose a product profile, and select Apply.

  4. Select the Add   icon again and select Creative Cloud for enterprise Edition 4 and Edition 4 w/Premium Stock.

  5. Select Save.

Learn how to add users in bulk.

When you need to add more users as trainers or generators, assign them to both, Firefly and Firefly custom models.
