What is Adobe Express for Education?

Adobe Express for Education is the all-in-one design app to imagine, create, share, and collaborate in your classroom and beyond. Adobe Express for Education combines the best features, educators know and love, like Adobe Premiere Rush, Adobe Photoshop Express, Adobe Spark Video, and Adobe Spark Page, into one easy-to-use, yet powerful tool.

The latest version of Adobe Express comes with new and improved features, including:

  • All-in-one Editor - Combine video clips, artwork, animations, and music to make videos with drag-and-drop ease.

  • Animate from Audio - Watch characters come to life with lips and gestures synching to recorded dialogue.

  • Seamless workflows with Photoshop and Illustrator - Edit creative assets from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator directly within Adobe Express, or add linked files that always stay in sync across apps.

  • Import and enhance PDFs - Import and enhance PDF flyers and brochures by quickly and easily adding and editing text, images, brand logos, and more.

  • Real-time collaboration - Create faster with real-time sharing and commenting.

An Adobe Express for Education plan adds additional features and functionality that are critical to schools, including:

  • Adobe Express for Education offers safe search functionality across Adobe Express so educators can focus on students rather than safeguards.

  • Ability to set up single sign-on so students can easily log in with their existing school ID.

  • Educator Resources tab within Adobe Express helps educators find starter content like lesson plans, creative challenges, templates, and more for using Express in their classrooms.

  • Enhanced controls to keep students safe: schools own the accounts and exercise admin rights over them. Plus, safe search for age-appropriate image and video results for K-12 students.

  • Premium creative assets and student-friendly Adobe Stock images are included - no paywalls, ads, or popups exist.

  • Students don't get access to the Discover tab in Adobe Photoshop Express, so they can stay focused on their work.

To get Adobe Express for Education in your classroom, your school administrators and/or IT department should contact Adobe to set up students. Click here for more information.

What are school/district accounts?

A school/district account means that this account was set up directly by your school or district IT administrators. Your educational institution is taking full advantage of the full version of Adobe Express, and it's been deployed throughout your school.

What are classroom accounts?

Classroom accounts are a type of account that teachers can create and invite students to join.  After receiving an invitation, students can create their own classroom accounts to collaborate with classmates and friends on projects. Classroom accounts for Adobe Express are only available to education users, specifically teachers and students in educational institutions.

Примечание.

This feature is only offered to verified teachers in the United States at this time.

How do I log in to Adobe Express for Education?

There are two types of accounts you can log into a school/district account provided by your school's administrators or a classroom account provided by your United States-verified teacher.

To get started with a school/district account, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Adobe Express.

Logging in to your student account
Logging in to your student account

  2. Type your school email and password in the Adobe Express for Education screen to log in.

If you are in the United States and your teacher sent you a class code, complete the following steps to join a classroom:

  1. You must have a class code link or a unique class code to join - your teacher can send you this from their classroom manager inside their teacher account.

  2. You will receive an email from your teacher with the class code link inside. Click this link and then enter your class code manually.

What is Adobe and student data privacy?

School/district accounts and classroom accounts in Adobe Express are made with student data privacy protections in mind. Classroom accounts offer safe search functionality in photo searches, teacher verification, and extra administrative controls to protect the schools’ and students’ personal information.

Visit the Adobe Student Privacy page for the latest updates on Adobe’s student privacy policies.

My classroom account was disabled - what happened?

Classroom accounts for Adobe Express are only available to education users, specifically teachers, and students in educational institutions. Teachers can set up classroom accounts, set up a classroom, and invite their students to join it using a class code. However, school or district administrators, using the Adobe Admin Console, can disable this feature.

If you've been notified that your classroom account was disabled, your administrator has turned off classroom accounts for your school or district. You must speak with your administrator about how they would prefer you use Adobe Spark with your classroom.

What are the available resources for students in higher education?

Adobe Express for Education is free to K-12 teachers and students. However, if you're a student in higher education and your institution does not currently have Creative Cloud All Apps for Higher Education, you have a couple of options:
  • Ask your institution or college to purchase access to Creative Cloud All Apps for students, faculty, and staff.

  • Individual students can purchase Adobe Express or Creative Cloud All Apps (including Adobe Express) at a special discount for students and educators.
