Error 182 causes installation failure

Learn how to resolve error code 182 "The created package does not contain the package to be installed" during Adobe app installation on Windows.

Error code 182 occurs when the installer cannot find the necessary package files. This usually happens when the package wasn’t created correctly, the package has expired, or files were lost or corrupted during download or transfer.

The installer cannot find the required package files

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

Sign in to Admin Console.

Check the package status:

  • If the package is still valid, re-download it.
  • If the package has expired, recreate the package and download the newer version.

Extract the ZIP file before installation.

Run the installer for the extracted package.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
