Error code 131 can appear when trying to update the Creative Cloud desktop app or install Adobe Acrobat. This error indicates that specific background processes, such as Adobe Content Synchronizer, CCLibrary, Creative Cloud Content Manager, Node, or other open apps, are interfering with the installation.

Conflicting apps and processes are still running in the background

Some apps or processes continue to run in the background even when no windows are open. They can interfere and temporarily stop the installation from completing. Before you continue with the installation or update, close only the conflicting apps or processes listed in the error message.

Follow the steps for your operating system to close any conflicting processes, then try installing or updating again.
