If you're unable to use Open in Photoshop or Open in Illustrator:
- Check if the assets are added from a Library. Assets added from a Library can only be opened in the Creative Cloud Web.
- Ensure you have edit access to the linked image. Linked images to which you don’t have edit access cannot be opened in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for editing.
- Open in Photoshop, and Open in Illustrator aren’t available on the Adobe Express mobile app or mobile web.
The Adobe Express file isn't reflecting the updates made in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
If your Adobe Express file isn't reflecting the updates made in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator:
- Ensure your .psdc or .aic file or Creative Cloud Library asset has been saved completely.
- Ensure you are not editing a different version of the linked image. Follow these steps to check if you are editing the linked image that was added to Adobe Express.
- Open your Adobe Express file.
- Select the linked image, then on the left panel, select Open in Photoshop or Open in Illustrator to open the linked file.
- If you uploaded your file from your local device or non-Adobe cloud storage, we duplicated it and uploaded it to Adobe cloud storage to add it as a linked image in Adobe Express. Try these steps to locate and open this version.
- Select the image in Adobe Express.
- Select Open in Photoshop or Open in Illustrator.
