Get started with video
-
-
Select Upload from device or browse Adobe Stock photos or videos.
-
Select a video on your page to open the left panel with options to crop, adjust volume and speed, or add filters, animations, and more.
-
Choose Text if you'd like to add text to your video or Elements to add shapes, backgrounds, and more.
-
Select Media > Audio to add music, or select Record voiceover to make your own recording.
Add scenes to your timeline
Video scenes are containers for your content. You can add videos, images, text, and graphics to any scene.
-
Select Add scene from the right of the timeline to add a new scene, or simply drag and drop images, video, and more to your timeline.
-
Hover on a scene to reveal trim handles and drag them to shorten or lengthen the duration of your video scenes.
-
Select Show layer timing below your timeline to reveal the selected layer.
-
Hover over the beginning or end of the layer track to reveal trim handles. Drag them to shorten or lengthen the duration of the object.
Locate timed objects in a scene
You can easily identify objects such as design elements, text, images, and more in your video. You can effectively adjust the placement of these objects using the timing indicator dots.
-
Once you have timed a layer, you see dots, each of which represents the start time of an object in your video.
-
Hover over a dot to view the thumbnail of the object.
-
Select the thumbnail to pull up the layer timeline.
-
Drag the trim handles to shorten or lengthen the duration of the object in your video.
You can drag the trim handle on your track and adjust it to the same start point or end point as another layer in your video.
Adjust the timing of the audio track
-
After you add audio, select the purple track below your timeline panel to edit the audio track.
-
Drag the purple track along the timeline to determine when the audio track starts.
-
Hover over the purple timeline to reveal trim handles and drag them to shorten or lengthen the duration of the audio track.
Submit a content ID code if you receive a copyright claim when uploading a video to YouTube that uses Adobe Stock music tracks.
