Use any of your projects and follow along to learn how to draw and paint.

  1. On the Photoshop on the web homepage, under Start something new, select Upload an image and browse for a file on your device.

  2. Select Paint > Eraser .

  3. From the Brush presets dropdown menu, choose the required option.

    Tip:

Select the More menu icon in the Brush presets panel to Manage brushes or Reset to default brushes.

  4. Set the Brush size & hardness, and Flow in the options bar.

  5. Select More options and adjust the sliders for the following options:

    • Opacity: Controls maximum transparency of the color you apply per brush stroke. An opacity of 100% erases pixels completely, while a lower opacity erases pixels partially.
    • Angle: Specifies the angle by which an elliptical or sampled brush’s long axis is rotated from the horizontal.
    • Roundness: Specifies the ratio between the brush’s short and long axes. A value of 100% indicates a circular brush, 0% indicates a linear brush, and intermediate values indicate elliptical brushes.
    • Smoothing: Produces smoother curves in brush strokes. Higher values apply increasing amounts of intelligent smoothing to your strokes.
  6. Enable the Use pressure for size and Use pressure for opacity options to allow you more control over the brushwork by preventing the brush preset from controlling the pressure sensitivity settings.

  7. Select and drag through the area you want to erase.

  8. Select Download.
