Learn how to use descriptive text prompts to generate complex and custom images.

Try the app

Use any of your projects and follow along to learn how to create and access images. 

  1. On the Photoshop on the web homepage, under Start something new, select Start from scratch.

  2. Access Add image from the toolbar.

  3. Select Upload your image to upload an image or generate an image with a prompt.

  4. Type an effective prompt in the What would you like to generate textbox. Then, set the Content type as Photo or Art.

    Tip:

    Detailed descriptions, including desired colors, mood, lighting, and style, produce better results and help guide the creative process.

  5. Select Reference image  if you'd like to use a reference image from the gallery or upload your own. 

  6. Select Effects  to explore and apply various creative controls to customize the output.

  7. Select Generate .

    Note:

    Select the desired image variation from the Contextual task bar.

  8. Select Download.
