The Color Range tool lets you apply adjustments selectively based on specific colors within an image. This allows you to target and modify particular hues, making it easier to enhance or alter colors in specific areas without affecting the entire image. This tool is commonly used for color correction, enhancing specific color tones, and creating visually striking effects by isolating and adjusting individual colors.

  1. On the Lightroom on the web homepage, select All Photos.

  2. Select an image to open it in detail view, and then select Masking  > Color Range.

  3. Within the Masks panel, select Create new mask

  4. To sample a single color within the mask area using the Color Range tool, select a point in the photo.

    Tip:

For more accurate color selection, select and drag an area around the colors in the photo that you want to adjust.

  5. Adjust the Refine slider to narrow or widen the range of selected colors.

  6. Control the overall selected area of the Color Range mask using the Amount slider.
