Storage is a core component of Adobe's cloud offering. Cloud storage ensures that you can always access your content and related services. It allows you to manage your Creative Cloud assets and Document Cloud assets. With the Creative Cloud assets, you can even enable collaboration and sharing among users. Creative Cloud also helps you sync your content to your desktop. All content created or uploaded by you is tied to your account.
Often, users may be required to move assets:
- From a personal Adobe ID account to an enterprise-owned account.
- From an account under one email address to another. The email address may be an alternate email address, or it may be the email address of another user.
- Across profiles (Business Profile -> Business Profile, Business Profile -> Personal Profile, Personal Profile -> Business Profile).
If you have files linked to an existing account or profile, you can transfer these files from one account or profile to another. The migration can either be done automatically or manually.
Transfer files
In the transfer procedures described below, comments, versioning information, sharing invitations, and file collaborations in the source accounts or profiles are not copied over.
Note:
Starting December 11, 2023, new users and organizations will not be entitled to Creative Cloud Synced files. Starting February 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for personal accounts that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here). Starting October 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for business accounts associated with organizations that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here).
Files stored online are associated with an account or profile. To migrate files, download the files from the source account or profile. Then, upload them to the destination account or profile.

Move the files from the Creative Cloud files folder to another folder on your computer.
You could, for example, create a folder inside the Downloads folder on your computer and move the files into that folder.
Caution:The files copied to the destination account or profile do not retain any of the comments, collaborations, or sharing links or the source files.

To check the File Sync status, click the Cloud activity icon in the upper right corner of the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Use one of the following methods to copy Cloud Documents from one account or profile to another.

Sign in to assets.adobe.com with your source account or profile.

Navigate to Files > Your files > Cloud documents.

Click Copy Link. The link is copied to the clipboard.
Note:If you have multiple cloud documents to migrate, generate and store all the links for easy access.

Click Copy to Files.
Verify that the cloud documents are copied to Your files > Cloud documents in the destination account or profile.

Sign in to assets.adobe.com with your source account or profile.

Navigate to Files > Your files > Cloud documents, and then hover over an Adobe XD cloud document.

Sign out, and then sign in to the destination account or profile.

In your Creative Cloud desktop app, drag the downloaded file to Your files > Cloud documents in the destination account or profile.
Verify that the cloud documents are copied to Your files > Cloud documents in the destination account or profile.
To migrate Libraries from one account or profile, you can use the Libraries panel and export as an offline .cclib file. Alternatively, you can use the Creative Cloud sharing and collaboration features.
- Use the Libraries panel in apps such as Photoshop or Illustrator to export Creative Cloud Libraries and then reimport them to the profile of your choice.
- Use the Link sharing feature to share and then copy a library to the destination account. This method does not require installed apps and can be done using any device.
Caution:
When copying libraries:
- The library copied to the destination account or profile does not have any of the collaborations or sharing links of the source library.
- If the library contains documents that are stored in the source account or profile, these documents are not copied over.
- Adobe Stock licenses are not transferred.
To use the sharing features, do the following:

Sign in to assets.adobe.com with your source account or profile.

Navigate to Your work > Your libraries and then hover on and select a library to migrate.

Click Copy Link.
The link is copied to the clipboard.
Note:If you have several libraries to migrate, generate and store all the links for easy access.

Click Copy to your work. You'll be prompted to sign in. Sign in with the destination account or profile.
If you copied several links, paste those links and click Copy to your work. If you're in the same browser, you won't be asked to sign in again.
Verify that the libraries are copied to Your libraries section in the destination account.
Download your photos from Lightroom and store them in an alternate profile of your choice. After you've backed them up, remove them from Lightroom.

Caution:
When migrating Lightroom photos, following are not carried across:
- Sharing information
- Comments
- Album membership
- Likes
- Flags
- Ratings
Download your documents from your source account or profile and then upload them to the destination account or profile.
Manage files in Document Cloud.
Download signed documents from Adobe Acrobat Sign.
Download previously licensed Adobe Stock assets with the License History feature on stock.adobe.com. For directions on this process, refer to this article. You can then reimport your documents using these instructions.
Adobe Express is only available online when you're connected to the Internet, so there isn't a way to keep any source files offline. You can either choose to migrate your projects from one account or profile to another, or you simply download the output of each project.

Navigate to Your stuff > Files.

Hover over a file and select the More Options icon.
Copy files to another account
Need to migrate files between profiles or accounts? You can only share projects and files from one account to another. After sharing projects or files, you can duplicate the file so it becomes available in the Yours stuff view.

Sign in to new.express.adobe.com with the source account.

Go to Your stuff.

Hover over a file, select the More Options icon, and select Share.

Select Copy Link. The link is copied to the clipboard.

Open an Incognito (Google Chrome) or InPrivate (Microsoft Edge) browser window, navigate to new.express.adobe.com and sign in with the destination email address.
If you're migrating Adobe Express files across Profiles, sign in with the same email address as the source, and choose the destination profile.

Open a tab in the browser and paste the copied link.

Go back to the source browser window, you'll have received a notification from your other account or profile. Select the Notification icon and then select the request access notification you received.

Select the checkbox under request to edit section.

Go back to the destination browser window, navigate to new.express.adobe.com. Since you've signed in to Creative Cloud in this window using your destination account or profile, you will not be prompted to sign in again.

Go to Your stuff and filter to view the files shared with you.

Hover over the file you've just shared from your source account or profile, select the More Options icon and then select Duplicate.

Select Duplicate.
The file that you've shared from your source account or profile can be found in the Shared with you view. Files that you duplicate, are available in the Yours view.
Note:Duplicated files will not include the original collaborators. You will need to reshare the file with appropriate collaborators.
Fonts activated on your desktop are only available if you're signed in to the Creative Cloud desktop app. When you sign in with another account or profile, fonts activated with the earlier account are unavailable.
You can activate fonts on your desktop. Apps such as InDesign and Illustrator also prompt you to activate fonts if they encounter missing fonts in documents.
To migrate your Premiere Rush project, you'll use Premiere Pro. Complete the entire workflow in Premiere Pro, and publish your video from Premiere Pro itself.
Caution:
After migration, the projects will not then be available Premiere Rush.

In the Premiere Pro start screen, click Open Premiere Rush Project.
Choose any Premiere Rush project that are synced with Creative Cloud to open and continue editing in Premiere Pro.

Click a Premiere Rush project to open it.

Save the file.
By default, the file is saved to the Converted Rush projects folder on your machine. If you want to save the file elsewhere, use File > Save as, and navigate to a location of your choice.

Sign in to Creative Cloud using the source account or profile.
You have two Behance accounts that co-exist, one associated with each account or profile. There is no direct way to migrate the data from Behance. As a work-around, you could do the following for Behance.

Sign in to Behance with the destination account or profile and navigate to the Behance Profile page.
Note the Behance handle, as you'll need it later. For example, in the URL https://behance.net/ABCD789, you'll use ABCD789 to share projects.

In another browser (or Incognito/InPrivate mode window), sign in to Behance using your source account or profile.

Navigate to a project you want to share. Click Settings.

Click Add co-owners, credits, and more link at the bottom of the Settings dialog box.

Sign in to the Portfolio website with your School Account.

Select one of your sites.
-
Select Settings in the left panel.
-
Select Account & Region.
-
Under Use Another Adobe ID, select Use Personal Adobe ID.

Enter the Adobe ID you wish to move your sites to.
-
Select Continue and then Done.
-
Check your email account under the new/personal account and click the link provided.

Sign into your Personal Account and select Confirm Migration.
Click Edit your Portfolio to exit.

Migrate other settings
To sync the settings, sign in to an app with the source account, sync settings, and sign out. Then, sign in with the destination account or profile. The latest settings on the desktop can then be synced to Creative Cloud using your destination account or profile.
Copying/moving mobile creations from one cloud to another is not supported.
Creative Cloud Market assets and Design Libraries data are also account-specific. You can download the assets again, and create Design Libraries.

What to do if your files are missing from your Creative Cloud account
If you find that one or more of your files is missing from Creative Cloud, you should check for the missing files as detailed in article: Where can I find my missing Creative Cloud files?
Once you find them, you can easily restore them.
