With Generative Remove, powered by Adobe Firefly generative AI, you can easily remove distractions and unwanted objects in a photo. Once you identify and highlight an object using the brush mask, Adobe Firefly automatically removes it and generates a fill that blends with the rest of the frame.

  1. On the Lightroom on the web homepage, select All Photos.

  2. Select an image to open it in detail view, and then select Remove  .

  3. Within the Remove tool, select Generative AI.

  4. Brush over the object you want to remove.

Remove tool panel is highlighted with clone and heal icons. Generative AI and Object Aware checkbox is displayed. Size slider is adjusted to 29 and Opacity slider to 100.
Adjust the brush Size and Opacity of the Overlay to make a precise selection.

  5. Once you have brushed over the object and its shadow, use the Refine controls to make the following selections:

    • Add: Add more objects to the selection.
    • Subtract: Delete objects from the selection.
    Note:

You can also access the Opacity slider in the Refine panel.

    Tip:

You can also select the Heal and Clone tools to apply to the edit.

  6. Select Refresh to generate three new variations.

  7. Select Share .
