Learn how to add objects to images using generative AI.

Follow along with any project to learn how to retouch images.

  1. On the Photoshop on the web homepage, under Start something new, select Upload an image and browse for a file on your device.

  2. Choose Select > Lasso and make a freehand selection.

  3. In the Contextual task bar that appears, select Generative fill .

  4. Type an effective prompt in the What would you like to generate textbox.

  5. Select the icon to upload a reference image.

  6. Select Generate .

  7. Select your desired image from the Contextual task bar.

    Tip:
    • Select to generate more variations of the desired object based on the current prompt and Layer Properties  to edit the text prompt and generate another object.
    • Select More actions to access other options: Good result, Bad result, Delete variation, Report variation, Generative AI terms, Watch quick video, and Hide contextual task bar.
  8. Select Download.
