Learn how to use pixel brushes to blend and smudge colors.
Use the Smudge tool to create natural blends in your artwork. All built-in brushes, and Photoshop brushes from CC libraries can be used as a Smudge brush.
Use Smudge tool to create Smudge brushes
Follow these steps to create a smudge effect in your artwork:
- Open a new artwork and double-tap the pixel brushes icon.
- Select a pixel brush and draw color patterns or lines.
- Double-tap the Smudge tool icon in the toolbar and select a brush in the Smudge brushes panel. You can adjust brush size, the strength of Smudge brush, smoothing, and other settings, such as the smudge spacing and shape dynamics.
- Tap the Smudge tool, select your Smudge brush and smudge existing pixels on the canvas.
Fresco does not support Smudge brushes on Surface Pro X and Surface Pro 9 devices. For more information, see Supported features on iPad, iPhone, and Windows.
