Ensure that you're on build 12.0.0.2892 of Adobe Captivate. Select Adobe Captivate > About Adobe Captivate in the main toolbar to check the build number.

Adobe Captivate (12.1 update) contains important fixes that enable you to work more efficiently in Captivate and design high-quality eLearning projects.

Bug fixes in this update
Adobe Captivate (12.1 update) fixes the following bugs:
- Captivate doesn't allow you to select any file on macOS while using the Open URL or file action.
- Captivate behaves unexpectedly when you select the Text tab of Success or Failure caption of a click box in a simulation project.
- A valid numeric input in an input field produces an error.
- Added a retry state for a Drag and Drop interaction when the number of attempts exceeds one.
- When you try to apply an image filter on a cropped image, the filter isn't applied as expected.
- Captivate behaves unexpectedly while creating a project on macOS. This happens when Captivate is installed with one user account and another user tries to launch Captivate.
- Captivate may behave unexpectedly on Windows if you select the following fonts in a text object.
- Lucida Bright Demibold
- Lucida Fax Demibold

Click Update Now to start installing the update.

Quit Adobe Captivate and proceed with the installation. When the installation is complete, you can see the Update Complete dialog.

Click Close or to start Adobe Captivate, click Launch.
After installing this update, verify the build numbers:
- Windows: 12.1.0.16
- macOS: 12.1.0.16
On the toolbar, select Adobe Captivate > About Adobe Captivate in the main toolbar.
