Adobe Substance 3D Viewer (beta) makes it easy to export or copy snapshots of your 3D images for use in other applications.
To get started, open Viewer. Then:
-
-
Viewer loads your 3D model and automatically opens the Files workspace.
- If your model is not positioned correctly, you can use the Move to ground or Move to origin buttons in the Files workspace to reposition the 3D model.
- If your model is rotated incorrectly, use the Change up axis button to reorient your model.
-
To move around your model and view it from different angles, move your mouse over the Viewport, then right-click and drag.
- Right-click and drag over the viewport to orbit around your model.
- You can also middle-click and drag over the viewport to pan or move the scroll wheel up or down to dolly.
Note:If you have a two-button mouse or trackpad, alternative navigation controls are available here.
Alternatively, shortcuts to navigate around your scene are available in the Navigation bar at the bottom of the viewport. Use the dropdown on the left side of the navigation bar to see shortcuts for your input method.
-
Navigate around your model until it is framed appropriately for your needs.
-
Viewer has two ways to create an image for use in another application:
- Snapshot allows you to quickly copy an image of your current canvas or 3D view so you can paste it into another application or save it to disk.
- Export an image allows you to trigger a high resolution render of the current scene and save it to a local folder. This can take several minutes.
-
To create a Snapshot, use the Snapshot button, then either click Copy snapshot to clipboard, or Save snapshot.
-
Use the Transparent background toggle to control whether the background is included in the snapshot.
-
For more control, use Export an image. With Export an image, you can control the Quality and Format of the saved image.
