Learn how to create Session Markers and Clip Markers for Multitrack in Audition. Add, edit, and move clip markers for each track in the multitrack mode.

Clip Markers indicate important points in an audio file. Markers can help you position, arrange, and synchronize clips, along with the ability to add comments.

Adobe Audition lets you create Clip Markers for Multitrack using a modifier key ‘M’ (Windows and macOS). Previously, Clip Markers could be created in the Waveform view only.

Creating Clip Markers and a Session Markers

You can create markers not only for the track but for the whole session. Create session markers for the session that you've created.

  1. Select Multitrack from the upper-left or press '0' to choose Multitrack view.

  2. Import a file to the Multitrack. Select a clip and press ‘M.’ A Clip Marker will be created on the selected clip at the current playhead position.

  3. Deselect all the selected tracks and press 'M' to create Session Markers.

Editing a Multitrack Clip Marker

  1. Press '0' or select Multitrack from the upper-left menu to choose Multitrack view.

  2. Import any file to the Multitrack view from the Session. Select the Clip Marker head and right-click. A drop-down list will appear to edit the Clip Markers

Moving a Clip Marker

Move a Clip Marker within the Multitrack view by moving the Marker head.

  1. Choose Multitrack from the upper-left menu or press '0' for Multitrack mode.

  2. By moving the Marker head, you may move a Clip Marker within the Multitrack view.

View all the Clip Markers and Session Markers by selecting the upper-right icon in the Markers panel.

Примечание.
  • The markers will be consistent across the Waveform and Multitrack view. You can add markers in either of the modes, and the changes will reflect across both modes.
  • Clip Markers in Multitrack won’t be applicable for remixed and stretched clips.
