The Adobe Scan mobile app is integrated with Adobe cloud storage to help you stay connected, productive, and collaborative from any location and any device. With a free sign-up to Adobe cloud storage, you can:

  • Store and access files in Adobe cloud storage with 5 GB of free storage.
  • Sync your files to Adobe cloud storage and get instant access across desktop, mobile, and web.
  • Share your files with others without having to deal with messy email threads and attachments.

Your scanned documents might be missing due to app crashes, syncing issues, or because you are logged into a different account. To resolve this:

  • Ensure that you are logged into the same account on both Adobe Scan and Adobe cloud storage. Learn how to solve Adobe account sign-in issues.
  • Ensure correct account access when logging in with Apple ID.
When you hide your email when logging in with Apple ID, a masked address creates a separate account, leading to potential confusion. To avoid this, show your original email to link existing accounts, or remember your login choice.
  • Visit Adobe cloud storage and go to Documents > Scans to check if your documents are saved there.
  • If the files still don’t appear, check that no files are still uploading to the cloud. Then, try restarting the app or your device, and clear the app’s cache to refresh its data.

Note:

We suggest that you also verify your Adobe cloud storage to ensure you haven’t exceeded the storage limit.

To make sure your files are accessible across all devices:

  • Always verify that you are signed into the same account on Adobe Scan and any other Adobe applications you are using, such as Adobe Acrobat or Adobe cloud storage.
  • After scanning, ensure that you select the Save PDF option and wait for the file to fully sync to the cloud before closing the app.
  • Regularly check your files in the Adobe cloud storage to ensure they are uploaded and accessible.

For large or multi-page documents, follow these best practices to avoid upload issues:

  • Break large documents into smaller scans if possible to prevent upload errors.
  • Ensure you are on a stable Wi-Fi or internet connection before scanning and uploading.
  • Don't exit or close the app until the upload to Adobe cloud storage is fully complete.
  • Keep a backup of documents' images by activating the Save originals to Photos option in the Scan app under Settings > Preferences.
