Photoshop Camera is discontinued on iOS and Android devices and is no longer available for download. Adobe ended official support for existing users starting on May 1, 2024. If you're a current user of Photoshop Camera, you can continue to use the app if it's already installed on your device until June 4, 2024. The Photoshop Camera lenses you love have been migrated to Photoshop Express.

With AI-powered features that bring you the magic of Photoshop in a single tap, you can take selfies, food and scenery shots, and more. Quick fixes like auto-tone and portrait control let you create high-quality photos with a single tap or swipe of your finger.

Edit modes in Photoshop Camera

Basic mode

Simply open Photoshop Camera on your iOS or Android device and capture the moment you intend from the viewfinder screen. Powerful AI-enhancements and advanced algorithms in Photoshop Camera help you take a stunning shot that does not deviate much from the actual moment.

Creative mode

Open the viewfinder screen and play around with various lens effects in real-time to come up with a highly creative version of the moment you intend to capture. Easily swipe across the lens carousel in viewfinder to choose a lens.

To apply lens effects before capturing a shot, simply:

  1. Open Photoshop Camera app to enter viewfinder.
  2. Point your camera to the subject you want to capture.
  3. In viewfinder, you can pick from an ever-growing list of lenses to apply. Based on the subject you intend to capture, Adobe Sensei enabled content-aware recommendations () help you choose the best lenses to apply from the lens carousel. You can also see portrait lens suggestions () appear above the shutter icon.
  4. Tap the cancel () icon to exit the applied lens and try some other lens.
  5. Once you are happy with your settings and lens effects, tap the shutter icon to take the photo. The captured photo gets saved in PsC Studio.

Once you import your photo from the All Photos gallery, you can choose a lens to apply from the carousel in the refine screen. After applying a lens to your photo, you can swipe left and right to see other variations of the chosen lens. Also, you can tap and hold anywhere over the photo to see your original photo.

You can make further edits in the refine screen:

  • Lens properties (): Tap to see the properties specific to the active lens. Swipe left and right to adjust lens properties.
  • Photoshop Express: Tap the Photoshop Express app icon to continue editing your photos with tools like masking and healing in Photoshop Express. Tap the Ps Camera button to return to Photoshop Camera.
  • Sprite: Tap this icon to show you the lens sprite or layers. Sprites are movable elements in a lens. Use two fingers to pan and resize sprites.
  • Auto-play (): For lenses having video effects, autoplay is turned on by default. Tap to stop the video. Tap to play again.
  • Auto-tone (): The Magic Wand tool applies a magical sweep over your photo that automatically optimizes lighting and autocorrects defects.
  • Pre-crop (): The Pre-Crop tool lets you crop your photo or choose a suitable share-worthy resizing option before saving or sharing.
  • Global lens properties (): Swipe left and right to adjust global lens properties — Shadow, Highlight, Clarity, Vibrance, Exposure, Contrast, Whites, Blacks, and Saturation.

Follow these quick steps to crop your photos before saving or sharing:

  1. Tap the pre-crop () tool icon to bring-up a bounding box around your photo.
  2. Drag any of the handles of the bounding box and release to set the crop size. 
  3. Move the rotation dial that appears below the bounding box to freely rotate your selection. While rotating, the crop size remains unchanged.
  4. (Optional) You can also choose any of the crop presets from the bottom of the crop mode.
  5. You can also laterally invert your photo or revert to a previous crop version.
  6. Tap Done to apply your crop and rotate actions to your photo. Tap Cancel to exit the Crop mode.

Note: The Pre-crop tool applies the crop action to only your photo and keeps the applied filters or effects as is.
